Rescue

We are actively coupling with rescues who can help us find permanent homes for our pets.  If you are interested in working with us, please fill out our application form and email it to,  Bev Bisazza our Rescue Coordinator at  bev_bisazza@yahoo.com. September  Transport:

At the first hint of fall, dozens of volunteers from surrounding shelters, converged on the Florence Airport on Sept 18 to help load up pets onto private planes and bid them farewell as they were transported to safety.   The pets were bound for approved rescues in VA, FL and NJ.  Over 200 pets left the airport and 18 of those were from our facility.   To learn more about this fabulous network of pilots willing to donate their time and skills to save pets in need, click here.

The journey was long but was it worthwhile!  Early morning on June 11,  44 pets were loaded up and some sent as far away as Maine.  With Hartsville volunteer,  Michael behind the wheel of the van,   he spent his weekend heading all the way up i-95 to deliver pets to safety!  Paws Wave to Michael, our loading team and on line donors who all pitched in to make this transport happen.
